About

Cindy Dauer grew up in Edmonds, Washington. She spent the summers exploring the rugged islands of northern Puget Sound.

Moving to California in 1999, Cindy began her study of media and culture at San Francisco State University. Next it was on to the Oregon Coast where she earned her keep as a reporter at the Cannon Beach Gazette. Her beat covered civics, art, education, sports, crime, health, and more.

Continuing her writing and education, Cindy moved inland to Corvallis, Oregon, a small but metropolitan university town in the Willamette Valley where she worked and studied for several years.

Most recently, her journey has taken her to Hillsboro, Oregon where she founded The Washington County Review Magazine and continues to write, teach, and enjoy life.
